Finding a Shared Rhythm
A connected walk begins with noticing the dog beside you. Are they moving comfortably, stopping to sniff, or hesitating as something unfamiliar approaches?
Adjusting your pace is not about giving up the walk. It is about making it work for both of you. Sometimes that means slowing down, allowing a sniffing break, or choosing a quieter route. Other times, it means moving along together and rewarding a voluntary check-in.
Shared rhythm does not require your dog to match every step you take. It grows when you respond to each other, making room for curiosity, comfort, and connection.
